Synthetic Turf Cleaning in Poway

Synthetic turf cleaning in Poway means flushing the infill, not rinsing the blades. We push high pressure hot water down through the sand, vacuum the slurry back out, then power broom the fibers upright. A standard Poway backyard runs about 45 minutes on site.

We work out of Poway, so most jobs here are a short drive. Espola Road, Garden Road, Twin Peaks, the pockets off Pomerado near the Rancho Bernardo line. Our crew has cleaned yards on all of them.

Poway sits inland and it shows in the turf. Hard water from sprinkler overspray leaves a chalky film on the blade tips, and after a Santa Ana blows through, the yards below the ridge fill with fine grit that settles a quarter inch into the sand. Neither one comes out with a broom.

What is different about synthetic turf cleaning versus a rinse?

A hose wets the top of the turf and drains. That is the whole event. The material causing the odor is bound to the infill below the blade line, and water pressure alone at garden hose volume never reaches it.

We run hot water extraction. High pressure hot water goes down into the sand, breaks the bond, and the vacuum head pulls the dirty slurry back out of the yard instead of pushing it into the base rock. Then the power broom stands the fibers back up, which is the part homeowners actually notice from the patio.

Method is hot water extraction only. We do not sell add-on treatments we do not use.

How long does synthetic turf cleaning take in Poway?

Most Poway backyards take about 45 minutes. A 300 square foot dog run with two dogs and no service in a year takes closer to 90, because the first pass lifts surface material and the odor sits deeper than that.

Summer matters here. Poway hits triple digits inland while the coast stays in the seventies, and heat drives the smell up out of infill that has been holding urine salts since spring. July and August calls are almost always odor calls.

Poway yards we see the most trouble in

Side yards. Narrow runs between the house and the fence get almost no sun, drain slowly, and collect leaf litter that composts down into the infill and turns it dark. Those take a second pass more often than open backyards do.

The other one is turf laid tight against a pool deck. Sunscreen and pool oils track off wet feet onto the blades and hold dust, which leaves a gray band about three feet wide along the coping.

Many Poway HOAs allow synthetic turf but expect it to look maintained, so a yard that has gone gray and flat can turn into a letter. Extraction and a power broom pass usually settle it.

If we cleaned your synthetic turf in Poway, mentioning your neighborhood and the service in a Google review helps your neighbors find us.

Last week we pulled two coffee cans worth of grit and infill fines out of a yard off Garden Road that the owner swore was clean. He had swept it that morning.
