Turf Cleaning in Alpine
We pulled into an Alpine job off Tavern Road in May where the owner had power washed her own turf and flattened every blade in the high traffic lane. The infill was gone in two strips and the backing was showing.
Alpine sits up against the Cleveland National Forest, and the dry East County air does two things to turf. It bakes the infill hard, and it lets fine dust settle into the pile where a hose just slides over the top.
Most yards we see past Alpine Boulevard and Victoria Drive are bigger rural lots with dogs.
How we clean Alpine turf
Steam first. We run a 180 degree pass to loosen the urine salts welded into the infill, then an enzyme rinse worked all the way to the backing, then a power broom to lift the fibers.
We never jet wash it. High pressure strips infill in seconds, and replacing it on a 1,000 square foot yard costs more than the cleaning did.
A full pet extraction in Alpine runs $200 to $450 depending on size and how deep the odor has set.
Fire season and your turf
Ash settles on everything out here during a red flag week. It works into the infill and holds smell.
