Artificial Grass Cleaning in Penasquitos

Artificial grass cleaning in Penasquitos starts with a power broom and power sweep to clear loose debris, then a peroxide-based cleaning solution on the turf surface. We apply pet-friendly infill, run the extractor only on yards with tough smells, and finish with a final inspection.

We are based in Poway, so Penasquitos is a short drive for our crew. We work yards off Black Mountain Road, near Carmel Mountain Road, and in the tracts running toward Mercy Road.

Fall is the hard season here. Santa Ana winds come down the canyon and push fine dust into the turf. It packs into the infill along fence lines and under patio covers, and the blades go gray and flat in the walking lanes.

What the dust and the dogs do to a Penasquitos yard

Yards that back onto the open space near Los Penasquitos Canyon collect more grit than yards on interior streets. That grit sits in the infill and holds odor in.

Dog yards add a second problem. Urine works down into the infill, and a hose rinse only moves surface dirt around.

How we clean it

1. Remove loose debris with a power broom and power sweep.
2. Apply the cleaning solution, a peroxide-based product, to the turf surface, focusing on high-use and problem areas.
3. Apply pet-friendly infill.
4. Run the extractor, only on yards with tough smells.
5. Final inspection, and we address anything that needs more attention.

We clean over 50 yards per month across San Diego County. A 500 sq ft backyard takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours.

Step four is not part of every visit. Most yards do not need it, and we will tell you if yours does.

HOA letters in Penasquitos

Many Penasquitos tracts sit under an HOA. A notice about gray, matted or smelly turf is usually a cleaning problem, not a replacement problem. See our write-up on what cleaning fixes after an HOA letter.
